Mercedes is still not eating on her own. I am syringe-feeding her 3x a day in hopes that she will perk up. I can say that she does appear to be improving: she is more mobile, more alert and grooming herself. She has more energy to fight me, so I judge how good she is feeling based on how much food I am wearing at the end of feeding time.

I hold out hope that she will soon begin eating on her own. Thank you for your well wishes and links. They were much appreciated and helpful.
