Thanks to the VERY GENEROUS donations from so many of you, I will be able to cover the cost to S/N the kittens when they get to CT. I'll also be able to pay a little bit towards the over $500 I had to spend just to get the kittens out of the Shelter. This time it was out of my own funds, but some day I will have a proper fund to draw from for such things and it will get sorted out. Tomorrow I will write a bigger, longer, more glowing THANK YOU, to everyone, but first my head has to stop spinning from utter shock, delight and joy at how kind everyone has been to me!

One thing every rescued foster kitten deserves is a proper first name. It may not be the only name he or she ever has, but it's a start. No more ID numbers. Now, just the freedom of the foster room and more begging to be rescued from a stainless steel cage.
My nephew, Ryan helped me choose names for each of my FIRST kittens under the Kitten Associates banner. It was really special to be able to share this with him since he's going to be a Senior in High School in the fall and our days together will draw to a close.
We have a silly problem. I don't have sexes on some of the kittens. A few I can safely guess-the calico and tortie are most likely girls, though last year we DID have that 1 in 7 million-male calico cat! I know that the the two tuxes are a brother and sister, but which is which? Oh well!
Without further adieu...here are our names and photos of the kittens from their first hours in foster care! Thank you to Maria for allowing us to share in this special time.

Everyone is doing well, save for some ear mites here and there, but so far, knock wood, so good. I can't wait to meet these babies!I'm told they are all sweethearts, well..DUH!

Those names totally fit all of them...especially yodel...that is priceless! Totally looks like a yodel and just as sweet and yummy! LOL thanks to Maria for showing them and giving them much love!!!!

They have FOREVER NAMES
You brought tears to my eyes as I read the part about no more numbers, ID tag numbers etc. but REAL NAMES. These wee ones have a new start in life thanks to you and others like you. I am so happy to know that I am not a crazy person when I think of my formerly feral babies in the way that you describe these babes. They deserve forever names, forever homes and forever LOVE.
Tonight as I write this I have my Little Peanut playing near my feet. Little Peanut gave me the gift of trust last week after THREE YEARS of living indoors with me. My heart would break as she sat watching while I gave kisses and hugs to the others yet could not touch her because of her fear. My dream came true and she observed and finally realized that someone really was on HER side and loved her. Now I have been rubbing her ears, her back and she even curled up behind my back as I slept.
What a difference a week can make in the life of a furbaby when you give them a chance at a new life.
Love them, ask nothing of them and be patient and you will someday get the blessing that I finally received last week. The gift of TRUST. If YOU were born outside and kicked around and chased and screamed at all of thee. If you had to forage for food and hide from storms....would you trust someone?
I cannot think of anything better than what Little Peanut and my 8 other formerly feral furbabies have bestowed upon me. If you have not let one or two adopt you then you are missing something special. Don't take one, you have to have at least two :-) PS but if you have no patience and you need instant gratification, get a man LOL

What a marvelous story! I have a former-feral here, too and even after 5 years of being here, he still surprises me by getting a little braver, asking for a bit more love. I'm so glad you had a breakthrough. That doesn't often happen. It takes a special person to have the good energy, patience and love to bring a kitty around like that. How lovely for you and Peanut and how miraculous, too!
