Welcome Home?

Isn't that sweet! Not only a big spill of cat litter to clean up, but a BONUS, HUGE, HAIRBALL! Wowie. The cats really missed me.

There's nothing better than walking in the front door after a long trip away from home...or...maybe that's not quite true.

Apparently, Blitzen likes to hang over the top of the cat litter box and dig into the litter, which ends up knocking it over, spilling it all over the floor. Why can't he play with the 10,000 cat toys just a few feet away from him in the living room? Is that too much to ask?

Also, please note, we have a contender to the biggest hairball contest! The tiles are 12" square, so this could easily be a 4-5 incher! Scientific investigation will have to be done to determine if this could be a winning hairball.

It's so good to be home!

COUGH.

The best thing about cats is the welcome we get when we come home from a trip... Like mine - who sits with his back to you and refuses to acknowledge your presence (until food time!). He can't hold out long with DH though - about 30 seconds, then he has to have fuss!!
But really, would you want the cats to rush up to you, yowling, then jump up and drool/slobber all over your hands, like a d.o.g.? Nah... much better to be ignored and just have the hairball (and cat litter) to clear up!

Welcome Home Robin!

I've never taken a pic of my Scarlett's hairballs, but she's had bigger! Her largest was 7 inches long, about 3/4 inch diameter. I don't know how she grew it so big! But, she was given a lion cut, so no hairballs since. :)

And, yeah, I haven't had this problem, but before I put kid locks on my cabinets, I came home to a similar situation involving cat food.

I love cats!

Catching up after a crazy week of family stuff and computer failure!

First, I got teary too!!! Congratulations (albeit a bit belated) on adopting Blitzen!! And Sam really is a saint if there's a fluffy tuxy in your future!

Sorry the conference was a bit of a bust but, you gotta try 'em to know. The ham'n'cheese looked toothsome, though!!

And nothin' says lovin' like a mutant hairball, so welcome home, Robin!!!
