Not Just My Vet, but My Family.

Bob helps do paperwork_sm.jpg

I consider Dr. Larry part of my family. We just bonded from the moment we met a gillion years ago, before he had his own practice. When he finally went solo, I became his client #26. He became my trusted friend-really like the brother I wish I had.

Apparently, during his checkup yesterday, Bob decided to help Dr. Larry do some paperwork. We didn't set this shot up at all. Bob just walked over and snuggled up, while Dr. Larry was writing up his notes about Bob's visit. Bob looks a bit cranky, but I assure you he was pretty happy for most of the time, other than that part when he was getting groomed and he almost bit Deb's hand off.

I love you, Dr. Larry! Thank you for taking such good care of my rotten cats!

I'm sorry, but THAT? Is incredibly sweet.

I was just having a "wine chat" with some friends the other night, and we are ALL cat ladies, and we ALL agreed, that once you find "your vet," it doesn't matter that you now live a bajillion miles away, and on the other side of town. they know your cat(s) and that's that!

Bob sure does look happy at his vet visit!! I have 3 cats (2, 3, and 6 years old), but have never managed to get them to be that happy to see the vet. Feel lucky!

Thanks, Chelsea! I think between Bob being an elderly guy and a mellow fellow, he's just "so over" going to the Vet.

That said, I have ONE cat that sent me to the Hospital (for PEOPLE) when I tried to get him into a cat carrier. I was bitten so badly I had to get a big shot of antibiotics in my hip (ASS!). Man, did that hurt...worse than the bite!

Anyway, I'm grateful I got one boy I can get to the Vet. As for the others..well...I leave a cat carrier out and I put catnip in it and a nice towel. That way the cats can enter it and have a nap and think it's a nice place to hang out. Eventually they will be desensitized if they see it and not immediately RUN into the basement and vaporize, never to be seen again! Ha ha ha..or I'm wrong and they will hate me if I try to get them into a cat carrier.

WHo am I kidding?!

It's all about the training. Good luck to you Chelsea!
