Goodnight, Gracie.

Gracie was one of my first foster cats and one of my first foster “fails.” She's been with me for 9 years. I knew she came from an abusive background so she's always been timid-yet she loves affection! I've worked with her, tried homeopathy with some success, and though she is still apt to dash off if you come too close, she'll also be the first to jump on the bed and try to get some lovin'-time when she knows you can't grab her and take her to the Vet.

Last night she actually sat on me and wanted to be petted. I decided to record it for posterity since it's such a rare occurrence. Of course, once again, I forgot to think about what I was saying. The audio on this video really makes me laugh! Hope you'll get a kick out of it, too!

you scared me with the title!

It's not "that" kind of GOOD NIGHT!..no rainbow bridge here.

What a pretty girl!

Drooling from happiness...I have one that does that when he is being furminated. Beautiful girl.

There must've been something in the air last night. I have five cats. Three are lap monsters who must be IN your lap or touching some part of you constantly. The other two are notorious for wanting limited affection, only on their own terms. One of them (Zander) has been warming up lately—he's been losing weight, possibly thyroid, and the leaner he gets the friendlier he gets. The other one (Jake) has no excuse for being a Crabby Tabby, he just is. Crabby and shy.

So yesterday I started a temp assignment, came home exhausted. Sat on the couch to watch TV as usual. The lap monsters shirked their duties somewhat. Perfunctory visits. Imagine my surprise when Jake moves in behind my head and starts purring. Loudly. Next thing I knew, it was 40 minutes later and he was still purring, and probably had been the whole time (I promptly fell asleep). I pried my eyes open to see who was warming my lap.

Zander?!? Wait a sec. The two least likely to occupy human space are hunkered on my lap and purring me to sleep.

It's a conspiracy. They're plotting something, all of them! LOL

Gracie is so cute!!!!!

Kisses on your nose!

Sometimes the drool drops on my face in the middle of the night after a snuggle.  Big Eu!
