Okay, I believe this is all correct. I'm going to post and wait to hear back from Barb that this info is correct. We are looking to help out four kitties. Two are on the "adoptable" side of the shelter and two are in a room, not available for the public to even SEE! They really have little chance of being adopted. The two who are not even out for public viewing are: Sugar Pop and Rutabaga.
Can we find a good home OR a rescue group to take TWO, 1 yr old sisters abandoned at Animal Control at Spaulding Co., Georgia? They're very mellow and at least housed together for comfort. They dont know what they could have done wrong to end up here. Fanny and Fawn wait patiently for the second chance at the rest of their 9 lives.
This is: fanny and fawn, Spaulding #b09-606 607
The kitties are cared for by Inmates (orange shirt wearers are inmates) who have fallen in love with their sweet and affectionate natures. Each one deserves a chance. If you like Torties this is your chance to load up on cute kitties!
This is Spaulding Co. #2408 1 yr old, Rutabaga who is very lovely dovey!
This is Sugar Pop: Spaulding #2384 I'm told she is a small girl and SUPER-SWEET (hence, her name).
Here's Sugar Pop's Petfinder ad, for more info, as well. If you end up helping save these kitties, please let ME know, too, so I can let everyone know you're FANTASTIC!

tortie tortie torties
oops sorry---I confused things.
there are just so many torties all at once.
the bottom photo is of another tortie 1 yr old #2408
she's in the bay-- not even on the adoption side --no matter how sweeet she is. if no room on adoption side if no adoptions or rescue pulls, she doesnt get seen by the public. she stays INVISIBLE!
she's #a09-2408 1 yr old also Rutabaga

the sisters are on adoption side fanny and fawn b09-606 607 so hoping to find the right home to take on two at once.

the tortie kitten the orange shirted convict is holding is Sugar Pop a09-2384 also still in the bay waiting in line to move to visible side.

i gotta tell ya i never imagined in my entire life to be having so many (relayed) conversations with convicts trying to explain the sad facts of rescue to them. black cats and torties are hard to find homes or rescues for. (the inmates are not allowed to have cell phones or hold one---so one of our vols will be there temperment testing kitties for us and the inmates will ask them about the kitties' chances and the vol. relays the question to me and I tell her and the vol. tells the inmates. of course there's little to no cell phone coverage INside the pound so the vol. has to go outside to talk to me)
Anyway ,that's how i ended up with my own little Georgia tortie Turtle. half the size of my New Yawker kitties and runs them all ragged. (good for her!! no more chubby lazy sleepabouts in this house. lol.)
barbara
Whew!
Thanks for clearing that ALL UP!
Barb just posted the following on the WCR board
someone is supposed to be faxing in for the Falcon family and the two tortie sisters 606 607
whew!
That would be sublime!
I would love that. I hope she can find a placement for the other two torties, too! (say that five times fast!)
:-)
Thank you for the update!
Rutagaba is still there
She may be one of Barb's priority rescues this week. Spalding is over capacity again. Last December, they had empty cages.
