Not on My Watch: News, Part 2, What Was I Thinking?!!!

They're HERE!!!!!!!!!

If any of you have been paying attention, you might notice that I was going to get TEN kittens from Jasper Co. “Myles Standish” got adopted while he was still in Georgia and so did a few others! Karen Bryant, the ACO at Jasper offered to give me a few other kittens to fill up the transport.

Our “bonus” kittens are: Mistletoe, a knockout Tortie and Figgy Puddin' who we also call, “Wonder Woman” because she's got big personality in a teenie tiny body. Her tail is stubby and always sticking straight up. She can kick any kitten's ass, even if she barely weighs two pounds and is the smallest of the bunch.

I'm working on answering a gillion emails from potential adopters, scheduling adopter visits and adoptions, preparing for our Adoption Event on Saturday and doing Vet runs EVERY DAY from Monday through Saturday of this week. It's BRUTAL, but it's for kittens, so I gotta do it.

This is why I haven't been writing much! In fact, I need to get upstairs and feed the kittens. Will try to catch everyone up on more crazy crap as soon as I can.

And for those of you who donated money to get these kittens transported and vetted, know that they are all doing well and ruining my life! I mean, are doing well and having an GREAT time enjoying cage free life!

Thank-you Robin and everyone else involved for helping these kittens. I have been helping pets from GA for 4 yrs and it never ceases to amaze me pets who would be euthanized in GA are in high demand in the Northeast. I am so very glad you offered these cuties a spot in your foster room. What an adorable group!!

That picture of the 9 of them reminds me of the opening of the Brady Bunch! Next time you get 9 more (when you have a momentary slip of insanity) you need to name them after the Brady Bunch!!!!!

Kat 5 is so right - we lived in GA for 4 years and it is a much different philosphy in animal ownership. Our rescue dog Kelly is from GA - a hunting dog who probably couldn't cut the job and left pregnant at a shelter. One of our cats is from SC - so beautiful and social but saved from euthanization and brought to the North. Great job to the GA shelter and you Robin!

How could anything call itself a shelter that would euthanize this little babies. I am so glad there are people out there like you who help out - I wish I could do more then just donate but I would end up with an insane amount of cats in my house because even if they went to a perfect home I couldn't give one up. If I was anywhere near you I would probably be heading over to get one of these cuties for myself - they are all just so adorable.
